Bihar’s Jamui Engineer Secures Rs. 2 Crore Package At Google London

Abhishek Kumar, a computer engineer from Jamui district in Bihar, has secured a coveted role at Google’s London office with a lucrative package of ₹2 crore. A graduate of NIT Patna, Abhishek will begin his new journey in October, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Hailing from Jamu Khariya village, Abhishek’s father, Indradev Yadav, is a lawyer at Jamui Civil Court, while his mother, Manju Devi, is a homemaker. Education has always been a top priority in their household, a factor that Abhishek credits for his success.

“This is my biggest achievement, and I’m extremely excited,” Abhishek shared in an interview with NDTV. “Working at Google has always been a dream for many software engineers, and I’m thrilled to work on impactful projects.”

The Path to Success

Abhishek completed his schooling in Jamui before earning a degree in software engineering from NIT Patna. In 2022, he also secured a ₹1.08 crore package from Amazon, where he worked until March 2023. Later, he transitioned to a German investment firm, focusing on foreign exchange trading.

His journey to Google wasn’t without challenges. Abhishek had to juggle a full-time job while preparing for the intense Google interview process. “Balancing work and interview prep was tough. I dedicated 8-9 hours to my job and spent the remaining time on coding and refining my strategy,” he explained. “Maintaining consistency in preparation was key.”

Overcoming Personal Challenges

Despite coming from a small village where his childhood home was made of mud, Abhishek never let his circumstances define him. “Now that we have the resources, we’re building a new house,” he said. His drive to succeed was further fueled by his mother’s health challenges, motivating him to work harder to improve his family’s quality of life.

“Once we had the means, we ensured my mother received the best medical care,” Abhishek shared. “I focused on my studies because I believed education would bring happiness to my family.”

A Message of Inspiration

Abhishek’s story is one of perseverance and determination. “Everything is possible. It doesn’t matter if you come from a small town or a big city. With dedication and focus, anyone can seize great opportunities,” he said, offering words of encouragement to aspiring students.

Abhishek also credits his family’s unwavering support for his success. “My parents and brother were my biggest inspiration,” he said. He is the younger of two brothers and acknowledges the role his family played in helping him achieve his goals.

Abhishek Kumar’s journey from a small village in Bihar to one of the world’s top tech companies serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration for countless others who dream of similar success.
