A 25-year-old cab driver was arrested on Thursday for allegedly attacking a woman in Bhoganhalli, Karnataka, police said.
Basavaraju has been recognized as the accused driver, and he has been detained.
A mom had reserved a cab to transport her son to the hospital. While they were waiting, another cab arrived at the same location.
After realizing they were in the incorrect cab, the woman and her kid attempted to exit, but the driver halted the car and began attacking the woman, according to authorities. The motorist slammed into the woman in the head. The incident was caught on CCTV in the residential complex.
The victim was then rescued by locals who raced to the scene. The case was registered under section 341,323,504 of IPC.
