In a significant development, approximately 15 retired bureaucrats and leaders have officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state of Rajasthan.
Yesterday, at the state BJP office, these new members were warmly welcomed into the party by state in-charge Arun Singh, state president CP Joshi, and Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal.
Among the notable individuals who have embraced BJP membership are Dr Mahesh Bharadwaj, a former IPS officer, and Hanuman Singh Bhati, a retired IAS officer. This list also includes K.C. Verma, Bhavarlal Naval, Dev Somanath, Dhaneshwar Ahari from Dungarpur, and Narendra Gaur, a former Income Tax Officer. Prominent businessmen, such as Bhudeva Deora from Jodhpur-Jaipur, are among the new members.
Kamal Rathore, a former Congress leader from Bara district, and Bahadur Singh Gurjar from Gangapur are among the political figures who have switched allegiance to the BJP. This list also features Om Prakash Bagda from Nagaur, Rajaram Meena, a former District Education Officer, and Om Prakash Meena, a former Income Tax Commissioner.
Furthermore, the BJP has welcomed back Krishna Kadva, a former BJP MLA, and Kunwar Rao Gagan Singh from Banswara. Dayanand Shakarwal and Dr Ratiram Yadav Bahrod Kotputli, both retired government officers, have also joined the party.
Arun Singh, the BJP state in charge, emphasized that these new members have joined the BJP without any conditions. Singh said that these new members are influenced by BJP’s ideology, and have chosen to be a part of the world’s largest political party. He also said that people are seeing a stark contrast between the BJP’s governance and the ‘jungle raj’ of the Congress. Manoj Bharadwaj, a former IPS officer who has taken the plunge into politics, praised the BJP as the most honest party in the country. He commended the party’s commitment to working for the nation’s welfare, particularly under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
