Bangladeshi woman travels to Rawala to meet her lover

In the border area of village 13 DOL in the Rawla police jurisdiction, another ‘Seema Haider’ (a Bangladeshi woman) arrived to meet her social media friend. As soon as news of her arrival broke, it raised alarms among the police force. The police have brought the Bangladeshi woman and local youth to the police station for questioning. A joint interrogation by various agencies is scheduled to take place soon in Sri Ganganagar.

The police received information that a Bangladeshi woman had arrived in village 13 DOL to meet Roshan, a resident, with whom she had formed a friendship through social media. Following this information, the police rushed to the scene and brought both the Bangladeshi woman and the local youth to the police station.

This incident is similar to the one involving Pakistani woman Seema Haider, who came illegally to India to meet her boyfriend, Sachin. The Bangladeshi woman is identified as Umm Habiba Dhaka.

Roshan’s mother, Krishna Bai, stated that Roshan and Habiba had become friends approximately six months ago through social media. Their friendship gradually turned into a romantic relationship, and they started discussing living together on social media. It is believed that they also communicated through video calls.

On September 3rd, Roshan went to pick up Habiba from Bikaner. Roshan’s mother explained that when Habiba arrived at their home, she was speaking in Hindi but had difficulty understanding Punjabi. Habiba had stated that she did not want to return to Bangladesh, as she had faced disrepute there due to her visit home. Habiba desires to remain in India, where she holds a tourist visa. Roshan’s family insists that they do not want to keep Habiba in their village. They have appealed to the administration and the government to repatriate her to Bangladesh.

Local Panchayat Samiti member Gopi Ram Bhukar mentioned that as soon as they received information about a Bangladeshi woman coming to the village, they alerted the administration. He assured that they would cooperate with the administration and take any necessary measures to repatriate the Bangladeshi woman. Rawla Police Station officer Ramesh Kumar stated that Habiba possesses a tourist visa and has about Rs 2000 in Bangladeshi currency. He said that higher authorities have been informed about the entire case, and further actions will be taken, according to their instructions. The police are currently questioning both the woman and Roshan. Once the interrogation is complete, the full details of the case will be revealed.
