To reduce pollution, the Gurugram district government has prohibited the manufacture, sale, and usage of firecrackers. This prohibition, which goes into effect on November 1, will last until January 31, 2024.
In the ruling, District Magistrate Nishant Kumar Yadav stated that, in the public interest, the manufacture, sale, and use of all sorts of firecrackers, except green firecrackers and barium salt, had been prohibited.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 144 of CrPC, P.C. Under 1973, Explosives Act, 1884 and Explosives Rules, there will be a ban on the manufacture, sale, use of all types of firecrackers and all types of firecrackers except green firecrackers for the period from November 1, 2023 to January 31, 2024, ” stated the ban order passed by the Gurugram district magistrate.
