Apple’s Spatial User Interface Device Set to Launch in Nine Countries, Excluding India

Tech giant Apple plans to roll out its latest innovation, Apple Vision Pro, to nine additional countries, but India isn’t included in the expansion. The company has confirmed that pre-orders for the spatial user interface device will commence in China mainland, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore on Friday, June 14, at 6 a.m. local time, with availability starting on Friday, June 28. Meanwhile, customers in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom can place pre-orders starting Friday, June 28, at 5 a.m. local time, with availability set for Friday, July 12.

The Apple Vision Pro, introduced last year, merges digital content with the physical environment to offer spatial experiences that revolutionize work, entertainment consumption, and more. Apple CEO Tim Cook expressed excitement about expanding the reach of spatial computing to more customers globally, stating, “We can’t wait for more people to see the impossible become possible.”

Powered by visionOS, an operating system with an intuitive spatial user interface, the Apple Vision Pro allows users to navigate using their eyes, hands, and voice. With this device worn on the face, users interact with apps by looking at them and tapping their fingers together. They can also dictate text, type using the virtual keyboard, and command Siri for various tasks.

The App Store now boasts over 2,000 apps tailored for the Apple Vision Pro. The device, priced starting at USD 3,499 with storage capacities of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, will be available at all Apple Store locations and online in the specified countries. Each unit comes with accessories such as a Solo Knit Band, a Dual Loop Band, a personalized Light Seal, an Apple Vision Pro Cover, and more.
