Apple To Introduce This New Feature With Upcoming iOS 18

With barely 10 days left for the WWDC 2024 event, rumors are already in the air, that Apple will reveal its latest new features in artificial intelligence (AI) and the upcoming iOS 18.

Thus, confirming the rumours of iOS 18 possessing AI capabilities. But there are more upcoming features, which is still under wraps, as the event approaches.

As per the tipster, apple plans to launch advanced AI capabilities of its voice assistant Siri, which might come with deeper contextual understanding.

Capabilities possessed by iOS 18 Siri

As revealed by Apple’s insider report, the company is working under project named ‘Greymatter.’

Under this project, the company is conducting tests and building all upcoming AI features with iOS 18.

Even though, project is working on several app features, but it’s essential focus to integrate advanced AI capabilities to Siri.

Besides, Apple is also working on a feature called ‘Catch Up’. Which will be based on notification summarization.

Through this feature, Siri will be able to provide users, a brief overview of recent notifications. Thus, doing away with the scrolling of long lists of individual notifications.

Along with Apple’s on-device LLM, Siri will get a new smart response framework, in order to acquire advanced response generation capabilities.

Thus, allowing voice assistant to collect knowledge of people, companies, calendar events, locations etc. In short, it will provide detailed response to user’s doubts.

Moreover, Ajax LLM Siri will also possess AI capabilities like text summarization and transcription.

Meaning, that this time, Siri will answer doubts-on-device, creating summaries of lengthy articles, transcribing audio like in updated notes or voice memos applications.
