Any further delay in implementation of UCC will be corrosive, says VP Jagdeep Dhankar

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Tuesday emphasized that “any further delay in implementation of UCC will be corrosive to our values.”

In his address at the 25th convocation of IIT Guwahati, Vice President Dhankar emphasized that Directive Principles of State Policy (DPSP) are ‘essential in the government of the country’ and that it is the State’s responsibility to transform them into rules. He stated that many DPSPs, such as panchayats, cooperatives, and the Right to Education, had already been translated into legislation, and that it was now time to put Article 44 of the Constitution into action.
