Amid the VP poll, President Murmu called on by the prominent leaders

On Saturday, President Droupadi Murmu was called on by the chief ministers of Tripura (Manik Saha) and Chhattisgarh (Bhupesh Baghel) at Rashtrapati Bhavan in the capital.

In addition to the aforementioned Chief Ministers, the Governors of Madhya Pradesh, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, RN Ravi, and Goa, PS Sreedharan Pillai, also called on the President at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

This occurs as voting for the country’s next vice president is still ongoing. Jagdeep Dhankhar, a candidate for the National Democratic Alliance, and Margaret Alva, a joint candidate for the opposition, are vying for the second-highest constitutional position in India.
