Ajay Devgn to Clash with Anil Kapoor in Luv Ranjan’s sequel

As per the pinkvilla report, Actor Ajay Devgn, Luv Ranjan, and Bhushan Kumar are coming together for Luv Ranjan’s sequel De De Pyaar de 2. 

The Film will reportedly start from the mid-credit scene in which the lead Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet were arguing over whether or not they should meet the latter’s family. And from that onwards, the following events involving Rakul Preet’s family will reportedly take place. 

As per the source familiar to the development revealed to pinkvilla, that Luv Ranjan has reportedly enlisted Anil Kapoor for the significant role in the sequel. “Anil was bowled over by the concept of DDPD 2 and it was an instant yes from him. The humor quotient in De De Pyaar De 2 is said to be a level above the prequel, with an interesting dynamic between Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor,”. According to the buzz, he will reportedly play the father of Rakul Preet in the film. 

The source further shared that the dynamics between Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor will be a major feature of the film. “It’s a dynamic that got both excited as they have never shared an on-screen equation like this before. The sequel follows Ajay and Rakul’s comedic escapades as they strive to win over Rakul’s family.” 

De De Pyaar de 2 will be released on 1st May 2025. Looking to benefit from the summer season as per the close source. Which will be directed by Anushul Sharma. Shooting will start in June in London.
