The US President, Joe Biden had a deep conversation with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to discuss the historic agreement for the nation to purchase over 200 American-made aircraft from Boeing.
A statement of the White House reads that the President, Joe Biden pointed out how the deal will support over one million American jobs across 44 States, and will also help Air India to meet the growing demands for the air transportation in the country.
“President Joe Biden spoke with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier today. They discussed the historic agreement for Air India to purchase over 200 American-made aircraft from Boeing,” said White House Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
As part of the growth strategy, Air India will purchase 250 Air Craft from Airbus, as well as up-to 290 planes from Boeing. The Two nation leader’s also discussed the importance of the strategic technology partnership between India and the United States.
During their call the two leaders reaffirmed the Strength of the US-India relationship as they committed to continue working together. They also expressed their satisfaction at the deepening of the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership.
