Agri department officers review Meri Fasal Mera Byora Scheme

Meri Fasal Mera Byora Scheme was evaluated via video conference from Chandigarh by V Umashankar, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, and Sudhir Rajpal, Additional Chief Secretary of the Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department.

Rajnarayan Kaushik, the director of agriculture, presented the data and the state’s district-by-district report during the meeting. He gave all Deputy Commissioners and officers of the Agriculture Department orders to finish the job pertaining to crop verification and Girdawari as soon as possible, within the allotted time frame, by March 15.

According to Deputy Commissioner Sushil Sarwan, the Panchkula district has 58 thousand acres of agriculture land. 27,350 acres have had crop registration work completed in this region. He said that errors like one farmer owning more than thirty acres of land, an owner’s name that doesn’t match the records, a registration from a different district, and differences between the area and crop area are being checked throughout the verification process.

The Deputy Director of Agriculture has been instructed to hire more employees in order to handle this as soon as possible. Teams will also be formed to work on Girdawari projects, and every effort will be made to finish the work on schedule.

He stressed that in order for farmers to receive government program benefits under the Meri Fasal Mera Byora scheme, they must register all of their agricultural data on the Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal. If crop details are available on the portal, payments have previously been sent through it for losses incurred in any disaster, and this is anticipated to continue in the future.

The Deputy Commissioner stated that to purchase crops in the grain market, the registration of the crop is checked on the portal. Therefore, it is essential to ensure that all crops are registered on the Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal. He instructed the Deputy Director of Agriculture to complete the work of crop verification and Girdawari within the stipulated time.

Present at the occasion were Additional Deputy Commissioner Harish Vashishtha, Deputy Agriculture Director Surendra Singh, District Revenue Officer Kuldeep Malik, and other officials.
