Anuprerna Singh Kuntal, the specific Administrative Secretary of the Administrative Reform and Coordination Department, stated that the Election Commission of India has initiated a special brief re-examination program of photo-enabled voter lists. This re-examination program will continue until February 8th.
During this period, transfers of district election officials (district collectors), sub-district election officials (sub-district collectors), voter registration officials, assistant voter registration officials, and other staff appointed in this re-examination, including BLOs, supervisors, and other officials, will be restricted for the specified period.
She mentioned that during this period, proposals for transfers or appointments of officers and employees related to extremely necessary cases can be presented to the state government with the prior permission of the Election Commission or the Chief Election Officer.
