ADGP Jammu Zone affirms anti-militancy operations as top priority in security meeting

The Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, reiterated the commitment to prioritize anti-militancy operations during a security and crime review meeting held at the Conference Hall DPO Poonch. The meeting aimed to discuss recent security challenges and strategize countermeasures.

ADGP Jammu Zone, accompanied by DIG Rajouri Poonch Range Dr. Haseeb Mughal, emphasized the importance of maintaining a sharp focus on countering subversive activities in Poonch district. The meeting included a detailed briefing by SSP Poonch on the steps taken for anti-militancy operations and the ongoing efforts to eliminate militancy from the region.

Highlighting the resurgence of terrorism in the district, ADGP Jammu Zone acknowledged the need for vigilance and countermeasures to address the evolving security situation. He underscored that both the police and security forces must collaborate to contain the issue at its inception and thwart any attempts to disrupt peace and tranquility in Poonch. The meeting discussed the recent attack on security forces, acknowledging the growing threat posed by terrorism.
