Aaranyak holds collaborative workshops on wildlife crime prevention

Aaranyak, a wildlife NGO in the northeast, organized two back-to-back awareness workshops on wildlife crime prevention in the Biswanath district of Assam in conjunction with the Kaziranga National Park (KNP), police, and Village Defense Organization (VDO) members.

Bihali Officer in Charge (OC) Bhusing Bey and Crime Ranger of KNP 6th Addition Jatindra Mohan Das discussed the crucial role that the general public and Village Defense Party (VDP) members can play in aiding the Police and Forest Department in preventing wildlife crimes during the first workshop held at Maheswari Adarsha L P School.Madhu Das, Kandarpa Hazarika, the VDP’s deputy adviser, Hemanta Purel, the headmistress of the school, Rajen Hazarika, and Suren Bora served as the workshop’s facilitators.
