During the ninth day of the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Badlav Yatra in Karnal, state vice-president Chitra Sarwara highlighted the concerning scenario in Haryana. She drew attention to the issue of rampant unemployment among the youth and the unfortunate prevalence of drug abuse within the state.
Sarwara emphasized the stark contrast between Haryana’s challenges and the progressive initiatives undertaken elsewhere. She pointed out the opening of an international-level sports university in Delhi aimed at nurturing athletes for the Olympics. Additionally, she highlighted Punjab’s efforts in enhancing sports facilities through a pyramid structure at various levels.
Promising transformative changes if elected, she pledged to replicate successful models from Delhi and Punjab in Haryana, encompassing education, healthcare, infrastructure, and sports. Sarwara expressed deep disappointment in the treatment of athletes under the BJP government. She lauded Olympian Sakshi Malik for her integrity, choosing to stand firm in her values despite challenging circumstances. The ongoing Badlav Yatra from Kalka has garnered immense support across society. Sarwara commended the widespread backing received by the party throughout their journey.
She lamented the disparity between the state’s pressing issues and the advancements seen elsewhere. The stark contrast between Haryana’s struggles with youth unemployment and substance abuse and the strides made in neighboring states through initiatives like sports universities and enhanced sports infrastructure underscored the need for progressive reforms in Haryana.
