AAP MLA Kulwant Singh Sidhu slaps drug offender in public

In Ludhiana’s Atam Nagar area, Punjab MLA Kulwant Singh Sidhu personally intervened upon receiving complaints of young individuals indulging in substance abuse at a local park. When MLA Kulwant Singh Sidhu arrived at the scene, a young man approached him, seemingly amused. Attempting to reason with him, the MLA noticed the youth laughing. This irked the MLA, prompting him to deliver a resounding slap. Following the incident, the MLA reported the matter to the police.
The Shimlapuri police promptly reached the location. They are currently conducting an investigation and questioning the young man involved. The incident of the MLA slapping the youth has been captured on camera and is now a focal point of discussion throughout the city.
According to reports, MLA Kulwant Singh Sidhu was touring the neighborhoods in his help van when he received a complaint about young individuals openly consuming drugs, including ganja, in Ward Number 40’s park. Upon arriving at the location, the MLA apprehended one youth, taking control of the situation and immediately calling the police for assistance. As the MLA and the police confronted the substance users, others managed to flee the scene. Upon questioning the youth about the reasons behind their drug use, the young man claimed it was a habit, and he laughed in response. Infuriated, MLA Kulwant Singh Sidhu retaliated by delivering a slap. Subsequently, he reported the incident to the police at Shimlapuri station.
MLA Kulwant Singh Sidhu emphasized that drug use will neither be tolerated nor allowed to be sold in the area. He has issued strict instructions to the police to compile a list of drug traffickers in Ward Number 40 and take immediate action against those involved in drug peddling. He also urged the police to expedite efforts to rehabilitate individuals trapped in the quagmire of substance abuse.
