75th Republic Day LIVE updates from Kartavya Path

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Republic Day 2024 celebrations by laying floral tributes at the National War Memorial in Delhi on Friday morning, paying homage to the valorous members of the Indian armed forces. Following tradition, the National Flag was unfurled, accompanied by the National Anthem, and a resounding 21-gun salute was performed using indigenous 105-mm Indian Field Guns. President Droupadi Murmu unfurled the national flag on the occasion of the 75th Republic Day at Kartavya Path in New Delhi on Friday.

• The French Foreign Legion marched proudly along the Kartavya Path, while Rafale jets participated in the fly-past during India’s Republic Day celebration in 2024. French President Macron graced the occasion as the chief guest.

• A total of 25 tableaus from 16 states and union territories as well as 9 ministries and departments will be presented on the 75th Republic Day 2024.
• Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Ladakh, Tamil Nadu, Gujrat, Meghalaya, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Arunachal Pradesh, Haryana Manipur, Jharkhand, Uttar Pardesh, Telangana are among 16 states and Union Territories to present the tableau on Kartavya Path.
• Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Ports, shipping and waterways, Ministry of culture, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Centre for Scientific and Industrial Research (CISF), Election Commission of India, Central Public Works Department (CPWD).
• Tableaus on various themes are presented on the Kartavya Path. These tableaus represent various themes in respect to the growth, development, culture, beauty and power of the nation.
• Tableau of Haryana takes part in the parade. The theme of this year’s tableau is ‘Mera Parivar-Meri Pehchan.’

• The tableau of Arunachal Pradesh on Kartavya Path depicts the ‘Singchung Bugun Village Community Reserve,’ a biodiversity hotspot in the state

• Tableau of Madhya Pradesh takes part in the parade. The tableau portrays the ‘Self-reliant and progressive women of the state.’

• Manipur showcases its ‘Nari Shakti’ with ‘Ima Keithel’, the 500-year-old market, one and only in the world run entirely by women

• The tableau of Odisha takes part in the parade. The tableau of the state depicts the achievements of women empowerment as well as the state’s rich handicraft and handloom sector.

• Tableau of Chhattisgarh takes part in the parade. The tableau of the state reflects the democratic consciousness and traditional democratic values present in the tribal communities since ancient times. The tableau has been decorated with ‘bell-metal and terracota artefacts’ to depict the traditional arts and crafts.

• Tableau of Uttra Pradesh denoted the recently inaugurated Ram Mandir and represented Lord Ram. The theme of the tableau is based on ‘Ayodhya: Viksit Bharat-Samradh Virasat’.

• he tableau of Rajasthan takes part in the Republic Day 2024 parade. The presented tableau is a demonstration of the development of women’s handicraft industries, nurtured along with the festive culture of Rajasthan.

• The tableau of Ladakh takes part in the Republic Day 2024 parade. It is based on the theme of ‘Viksit Bharat: Empowering women through employment in Ladakh’s journey’.

• The tableau of Gujarat takes part in the Republic Day 2024 parade. Theme of the tableau is ‘Dhordo: Global Icon of Gujarat’s Tourism Development’.

• The tableau of Jharkhand takes part in the #Republic Day 2024 parade. The tableau transports the audience through the rich heritage of Tasar Silk. Upon the tableau, the resilience of tribal women in the production of Tasar Silk is being showcased.

• Cultural performances began at Kartavya Path. A total of 1500 artists from various states represented their cultural significance through dance performances.

• CRPF, SSB and BSF Women present stunts on motorcycle at Republic Day Parade 2024. The women preforms Yoga on the motorcycles as a part of the stunt.

• Indian Air Force present stunts in air. ‘Prachand’ helicopter leads. Flypast takes part in the stunts. Various formations including ‘Varun Formation’, ‘Bheem Formation’, ‘Netra Formation’ etc.’ Tejas’ presents the ‘Diamond Formation.’ SU 30 MKI forms ‘Trishool Formation.’

• 6 Rafael aircrafts form ‘Maarut Formation.’

• 75th Republic Day parade at the Kartavya Path concludes with National Anthem. President Draupadi Murmu and French President Emmanuel Macron return back to Rashtrapti Bhavan.
