Preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections have gained momentum as political parties nationwide gear up for the electoral contest. The State Election Department is actively engaged in finalising arrangements, with a primary focus on compiling accurate and comprehensive voter lists.
The State Election Department has achieved notable success, reporting an increase of 46 lakh registered voters compared to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The current voter count stands at an impressive total of over 5.32 crore registered voters. The process of adding names to the voter list continues, providing an opportunity for those yet to register. Supplementary lists will undergo updates until 10 days before the final date for Lok Sabha general election nominations. Citizens are encouraged to leverage the Voter Service Portal, Voter Helpline App, and the BLO App provided by the Election Commission of India for seamless voter registration.
It is noteworthy that the Election Department aims to surpass previous voter turnout records set during the last Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, emphasizing the commitment to fostering active civic participation in the electoral process.
