43 people missing after a flash flood in Sikkim was caused by a cloudburst,rescue ops underway

As many as 43 people, including soldiers and civilians, have been listed as missing after flash floods were caused by a glacial lake outburst at South Lhonak Lake in North West Sikkim as a result of persistent rainfall in the area. According to an official, between 3,000 and 4,000 people were evacuated from Rangpo and its surroundings last night, and five relief camps were also established in the area.
