3 sharpshooters associated with the Bambiha gang apprehended

The Special State Operation Cell, in collaboration with Mohali, has successfully arrested three sharpshooters. Two foreign firearms and ten live cartridges were seized from the possession of the three accused. They were allegedly planning to carry out a targeted killing in Mohali. The gangsters, operating from abroad, had marked them as targets.
According to the police, the identified accused are Jagjeet Singh alias Jaggi alias Cheeni, Anmol Singh, and Manpreet Singh alias Mani. All three are residents of Moga district in Punjab. The court has granted the police a remand of four days for the accused. The Counter Intelligence Team of Punjab Police had received information that these accused were planning a targeted killing in Mohali. For this purpose, gangster Lucky Patiala had arranged funds and weapons.

Jagjeet Singh was directly in contact with gangster Lucky Patiala. He has previously been implicated in several cases, including charges of drug trafficking. The Mohali Special Security Operations Cell has filed a case against these accused under the relevant sections of the IPC. In this case, besides these three, Lucky Patiala and an unidentified person are also involved.

According to the police, these individuals came to Mohali to carry out a targeted killing in the VIP area. They were given this responsibility by gangsters Gaurav and Lucky Patiala, who are based in Armenia. The Bambiha gang aims to avenge the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. The police had already caught wind of their plans before the incident took place and apprehended them on the spot.

Originally from the Moga district, the gang’s founder was kabaddi player Davinder Bambiha. During his graduation in 2010, he faced charges in a murder case and was arrested.
It was during his time in jail that he came into contact with other gangsters and gradually rose to become a significant figure. However, on September 9, 2016, he was killed in Gil Kala village, Ramapura near Bathinda. Now, the leadership of the Bambiha gang is in the hands of Lucky Patiala. He originally hails from Dhanas in Chandigarh and has been charged by the police with murder, attempted murder, and extortion. After being released from jail, he went to Armenia, and following Davinder Bambiha’s encounter, he became the leader of the Bambiha gang, operating primarily from abroad, focusing on targeted killings.
