Three young people were arrested on Friday, according to police, for attempting to kill and extort money from a businessman in Delhi’s Welcome neighborhood. The three were apprehended on Thursday from Kabir Nagar Madina Masjid Gali. According to Delhi Police, they were notified about a shooting incident at Kabir Nagar Madina Masjid Wali Gali in Welcome Delhi at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. When the 16-year-old accused and a few of his friends got to the victim Mursaleen’s (28) home, they broke a glass bottle at the iron gate and demanded to speak with him.
“They arrived at Mursaleen’s house demanding that he should open the gate and talk with them. When Mursaleen did not open the gate he fired several rounds in the air outside the gate. The culprits also found Mursaleen’s nephew, Mohd Shammi (25) outside in the gali and roughed him up,” police said.
