Amid dense fog, the Indian Railways canceled 250 trains on Wednesday due to poor weather conditions in northern India. The cancelled trains include Ekta Naga to Ahemdabad Shatabdi express and Gorakhpur to Anand Vihar Humsafar express.
Furthermore, 23 trains were rescheduled by the national transporter including Kotdwara to Delhi junction Siddhabli Junction and Howrah Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Duronto express. 34 trains were short-terminated while 35 trains were source changed by the Indian railways. Also, 16 trains were diverted.
The passengers who booked their tickets via the IRCTC website will be cancelled automatically and the refund will be transferred to their accounts shortly. Customers are needed to frequently visit the website for refunds.
