A bus carrying 45 people collided with a truck in Maharashtra, leaving ten dead and numerous others brutally injured, the police said.
According to news agency ANI. On the Nashik-Shirdi highway, the tragedy happened close to the village of Pathare in Maharashtra.
Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, expressed his condolences, declared a 5 lakh rupee ex-gratia to the kin of the deceased, and asked the appropriate authorities to conduct an investigation into the occurrence.
When the tragedy occurred, the bus, which was carrying worshippers from Badlapur and other areas, was travelling via the Nashik Ahmednagar road from Badlapur to Shirdi for Saibaba darshan.
There were twelve injured people. Six women, two children, and two men were among the dead. There were up to 45 people on the bus, the police said.
