Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Tuesday said that his predecessor Captain Amarinder was conniving with Akalis and BJP to harm the interests of the state.
The Chief Minister, while addressing a gathering here, said that during his tenure Amarinder secured the interests of the Badal family and Modi by jeopardising the interests of Punjab. He said that this was the reason why Congress MLAs unitedly ousted him from the chair of Chief Minister. CM Channi said that the new party floated by Amarinder is also aimed at benefitting the Akalis and BJP thereby ruining the state.
Accusing the Akalis of ignoring the interests of the Scheduled Castes, Channi said that Akalis have had an unholy alliance with BSP and has deliberately allotted them weak seats. He said the Akalis would benefit the BJP in winning these seats. CM Channi said that the primary motive is to ensure that the interests of the SC community are harmed.
Training guns against the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister described him as a rumour monger who is least bothered about the state. He said that Kejriwal is only making hollow promises while his government was delivering good governance and clean administration to the people. CM Channi asked the people to not get misled by the tall claims of Kejriwal and company.
