This week on We Women Want, we have three women CEOs who talk about breaking the glass ceiling. On the show are Chanda Narang, CEO of Frazer and Haws, Malika Dutt Sadani, Founder and CEO of The Moms Co; and Shivaani D Mallik, Marketing Director of Da Milano.
What is interesting is that each one spoke of the ease with which they handled the work-life balance, pointing out that, as a rule, women make for better time managers than men, because they know how to juggle various commitments and still deliver on time.
The panel also spoke about how some male employers are wary of hiring women for fear that they will have to give them maternity leave, but these incidents will decrease once offices have creches and men also start getting maternity leave.
On the whole, however, do women make more sensitive bosses? The answer was nuanced, for there are also instances when women pull other women down. But, on the whole, having women break the glass ceiling and run corporate and company boards is an inspiring sight and one that was appreciated by the young audience in the studio.
The show was moderated by Priya Sahgal, Senior Executive Editor at NewsX.
