ONE WRONG VOTE WILL PUSH BIHAR TOWARDS JUNGLE RAJ: SUSHIL MODI

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Tuesday asked voters, casting their vote in the second phase of Assembly polls to be cautious, stating that “one wrong vote of yours will again push Bihar towards jungle raj”. “Every single vote given to NDA will take Bihar on the path of development.

But one wrong vote of yours will again push Bihar towards Jungle Raj. Be both careful and cautious, again choose NDA in Bihar,” Sushil Modi tweeted. Hitting out at Rashtriya Janata Dal-led grand alliance in Bihar, he said: “Congressmen give tickets to Jinnah supporter. The people of Mahagathbandhan have given tickets to those accused of murder, rape and extortion. The people of Mahagathbandhan want to bring jungle raj in Bihar again. To save Bihar, every vote should go to the NDA only.”

The BJP leader cornered RJD chief Lalu Yadav’s sons Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav, stating that “the way Lalu ji’s sons are lobbying for a Leftist organisation to gain a foothold in Bihar, it is clear that they want to establish Jungle Raj in Bihar. Not the ninth failure, we will choose engineer Babu because good governance has come under his rule. We do not want a ruckus of the grand alliance”.

“The scam accused father is in jail and the son is also out on bail in a corruption case. And now they want to form a government in Bihar. This fraud will not work in Bihar. Nitish Babu will come again,” he said.

Sushil Modi further hailed the NDA-led government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Bihar for bringing development and prosperity to the state.

“The NDA government has given cycles to girls and freedom to women from smoke. We gave you electricity, water, roads, flyovers, bridges over rivers, higher education and railway connectivity. Women got freedom, elders got respect and youth got employment. All this has been possible in the NDA government,” he said.

“Bihar is in the grip of development under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. Tejashwi’s lantern has burst, as every house is illuminated with NDA’s LED. The vote will be on the development of NDA. Because Bihar once again needs the NDA government,” he added.

ONIONS THROWN AT NITISH AT RALLY

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Tuesday was attacked with onions when he was talking about jobs at a rally in Madhubani district. Nitish was addressing the rally for the third phase of the elections as polling for the second phase was going on Tuesday.

“Keep throwing. You all can understand. This will not have any impact,” he said in the rally.

However, after this incident, security personnel became alert and formed a security cordon. The CM completed his speech in the election meeting. When the security personnel started catching the stone thrower, Kumar told them to leave those people and they would understand it themselves after a few days.

TSUNAMI OF CHANGE ON CARDS: TEJASHWI

Ahead of the second phase voting for Bihar Assembly election, Mahagathbandhan’s chief ministerial candidate and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday said that in this “tsunami of change”, people of Bihar will vote on agenda of education, healthcare, inflation, etc.

Speaking to ANI, Yadav said, “In this tsunami of change people of Bihar will vote on agenda of ‘Padhai, Kamai, Dawai, Sichai, Mehengai’ (education, employment, healthcare, farming, inflation). I am sure they will vote for us as they want a change in state, they want proactive and progressive government. People of Bihar will vote for the change.”

“The first phase of the election went quite well and I believe the second phase will be much better, more people will vote in our favour. I would urge people to go and cast their votes in large numbers while taking Covid-19 precautions,” he added.

Yadav also asserted that people of the state have started “hating” CM Nitish Kumar and they do not even want to hear his name. “It will be clear, the first phase has already given an indication,” Yadav said when asked who will be the Chief Minister of Bihar.

The first phase of Bihar assembly elections was held on 28 October, with the other two on 3 November and 7 November. The counting of votes will take place on 10 November.
