Team India Unveils New Jersey for ICC T20 World Cup 2024

Ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and the USA, Team India unveiled their new jersey. The announcement, shared on social media by Adidas, the team’s official kit sponsor, featured captain Rohit Sharma, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, and spinner Kuldeep Yadav. The jersey, adorned with tri-color lines and Adidas stripes on saffron sleeves, retains the traditional blue with ‘INDIA’ emblazoned on the front.

In team selection news, surprises included the omission of opener Shubman Gill and batter Rinku Singh. Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, and Shivam Dube earned spots based on strong IPL performances. India, placed in Group A, will face Pakistan, Ireland, Canada, and hosts USA. Their journey starts against Ireland on June 5 in New York, followed by a much-anticipated clash with Pakistan on June 9. The squad comprises Rohit Sharma (c), Hardik Pandya (vc), and others, with Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh, Khaleel Ahmed, and Avesh Khan named as reserves.
