Omar Abdullah, the leader of the National Congress, criticised the party’s stance on the CBI investigation into Delhi’s liquor laws on Sunday as the party asked Manish Sisodia, the deputy chief minister of Delhi, to resign after being named as the primary accused in the CBI’s FIR. Omar questioned, “How does this work? The agencies lose credibility when they target the Congress, but their confidence is restored when they target the AAP.

The former chief minister of J&K stated, “I am not questioning the opportunistic politics of AAP, and J&K has personally witnessed AAP’s opportunism in 2019.”

The Congress failed to condemn the CBI raids on Manish Sisodia, which occurred days after it protested ED’s interviewing Sonia Gandhi in the National Herald case, exposing the flaws in the opposition’s unity.

The Congress requested Sisodia’s resignation on Sunday, claiming that the AAP couldn’t hide behind the discussion on educational policy.

The CBI’s action against Sisodia has drawn criticism from Trinamool and the CPI-M, while the BJP has included Telangana Chief Minister KCR in the debate. It stated that KCR’s family members attended a conference on Delhi’s alcohol regulations and that some people from Hyderabad received liquor licences in Delhi.

The CBI action against Sisodia was criticised by the Aam Aadmi Party as being politically motivated. Sisodia asserted collaboration with the investigation and stated that Kejriwal is being singled out by the Centre because he will be facing off against Movi in 202.
