Rahul Gandhi asserted that he will continue to protect the country and is not scared of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Do whatever you want.”
Rahul Gandhi made his remarks one day after the Enforcement Directorate closed the Young Indian office on the premises of the National Herald newspaper. “I will continue to work to protect the country, democracy, and harmony; I will do my work whatever they may do,” said the Congress leader. “Truth can’t be barricaded,” he added.
According to Congress leaders, the Gandhis’ homes as well as the party’s headquarters were barricaded on Wednesday.
Taking to Twitter,Rahul Gandhi mentioned that, “We won’t get intimidated. I am not scared of Narendra Modi. Have you understood? He can do whatever he wants. It won’t make any difference. This is my duty—to protect the country, the democracy, and to maintain harmony in the country. I will work towards that. “
Responding to the question, Rahul exclaimed that the truth cannot be barricated.
Rahul Gandhi’s comments come as the ED is now looking into the National Herald issue, over which Rahul Gandhi has already been questioned multiple times. The agency questioned Sonia Gandhi in relation to the same issue as well. The Congress and the BJP sparred in parliament, with BJP minister Smriti Irani urging Sonia Gandhi to retract Congress MP Adhir Chowdhury’s use of the “rashtrapatni” phrase.
Congress’s Mallikarjun Kharge said in the Rajya Sabha that the ED had summoned him during the current Parliamentary session a day after sealing the Young Indian office.
