Walt Ehmer, the CEO and president of Waffle House, has passed away at the age of 58, following a long illness. The Atlanta Police Foundation confirmed his death on September 8, posting a heartfelt tribute on Facebook to honor his leadership and dedication.

Waffle House released a statement to Fox Business, expressing deep sorrow and highlighting Ehmer’s 30+ year career with the company. “He will be greatly missed by his entire Waffle House family,” the statement read.
