JERUSALEM – Hezbollah rockets struck Haifa, Israel’s third-largest city, early on Monday, Israeli police confirmed, while Israeli media reported that 10 people were injured in the country’s north.
Hezbollah claimed responsibility for targeting a military base south of Haifa with a salvo of “Fadi 1” missiles. Media reports indicated that two rockets hit Haifa, located on Israel’s Mediterranean coast, while five others landed in Tiberias, about 65 km away.
Police reported damage to buildings and properties, with several reports of minor injuries. Some individuals were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Surveillance camera footage captured the moment a Hezbollah rocket hit Haifa. Reuters independently verified the location by matching the design and outline of buildings, business signs, trees, and road layouts with file and satellite imagery of the area. They also confirmed the date based on corroborating reports and the timestamp of the footage.
In response, Israel’s military stated that fighter jets had targeted Hezbollah’s Intelligence Headquarters in Beirut, hitting intelligence-gathering systems, command centres, and other infrastructure.
The military added that airstrikes in Beirut struck Hezbollah weapons storage facilities, noting secondary explosions that indicated the presence of weaponry. Additional airstrikes hit Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon and the Beqaa area, focusing on weapons storage facilities, infrastructure, a command centre, and a launcher.
Israel accused Hezbollah of deliberately placing its command centres and weapons beneath residential buildings in the heart of Beirut, thereby endangering the civilian population.
