North Korea stated in a press release on Thursday that the launch of the intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) Hwasongpho-17 was a “stronger warning” to the US and South Korea for their provocative and aggressive large-scale war movements.
The ICBM Hwasongpho-17, launched at the Pyongyang International Airport, journeyed up to a maximum elevation of 6 045km and glided a distance of 1 000.2 km for 4 151s before exactly landing on the reset area in the open waters of the East Sea of Korea
The Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) declared that an ICBM Hwasongpho-17 launching drill was held on 16th March following the serious situation in which the most unsteady security environment was being created on the Korean peninsula.
