During his address to the Indian diaspora at Nassau Coliseum in New York, Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated India’s rapid advancements in the digital space, highlighting the successful implementation of UPI and the 5G network. He noted that India’s 5G deployment has outpaced even the US, completing the rollout in just two years.

India’s Digital Revolution: A Global Leader

PM Modi proudly stated, “India’s 5G network is bigger than the US’s,” emphasizing how Indians carry digital wallets and benefit from UPI, the world’s largest digital payments system. He expressed confidence that made-in-India semiconductors will soon be sold globally, reinforcing India’s growing tech presence.

India’s Unity in Diversity

In his speech, PM Modi also celebrated India’s diversity, where dozens of languages, faiths, and religions coexist. Despite this diversity, the country moves forward in unity, with “local to global” initiatives, including the globally recognized “Namaste” gesture.

Indian Diaspora’s Contributions

He further praised the Indian diaspora for their valuable contributions, stating that no matter where Indians are, they contribute the most. The event, attended by 15,000 Indian-Americans from 42 US states, was a historic moment marking the strong India-US partnership.

Modi’s Vision for the Future

In his address, PM Modi also hinted at the immense success of India’s general elections and rallied the crowd with his signature phrase, “Ab ki baar…”, receiving a resounding response of “Modi Sarkar” from the audience.
