After a video of bridge collapsed in Bihar surfaced on social media on Tuesday, Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India Nitin Gadkari issued a post of clarification on X that it was not undertaken under his ministry but under the Rural Development Ministry.

Srinivas BV criticized the ‘double engine government’ after the bridge collapsed before its inauguration. He referenced a similar incident last June when strong winds partly washed away a temporary bridge over River Ganga in Vaishali district, Bihar. The temporary bridge provided a connection between Raghopur and the Vaishali District Headquarters.
