JAKE PAUL BEING INTRODUCED AND WALKING ONSTAGE STORY: Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua continued to build anticipation for their eight round boxing match at the ceremonial weigh-in Thursday (December 18) at The Fillmore in Miami Beach. After the two officially made weight earlier in the day, Joshua taunted Paul at the ceremonial weigh in, telling the American he was taking on a "serious fighter", and Paul predicting he would win by knockout. The 36-year-old Joshua tipped the scales at 243.4lb (110.4kg), some 12 kg heavier than 28-year-old Paul, who weighed-in at 216.6lb (98.24kg). The fight is being billed as "Jake vs Joshua: Judgment Day" and will take place at Kaseya Center, home arena of the NBA's Miami Heat, and will stream live on Netflix. The fighters will wear 10-ounce gloves. Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) has not fought since being knocked out in the fifth round by Daniel Dubois on September 21, 2024, in London. Paul (12-1, seven KOs) has won his last six fights, most recently a 10-round unanimous decision against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on June 28 in Anaheim, California. Joshua won the super-heavyweight gold medal at the London Olympic Games in 2012. He won 24 of his first 25 pro fights before losing back-to-back decisions to Russia's Oleksandr Usyk in 2021 and 2022.
