A new generation of smart eyewear just landed in India. On December 2, the AI‑powered Ray‑Ban Meta Gen 2 Glasses officially became available to Indian buyers. These are the successors to the first‑generation Meta smart glasses now offering upgraded cameras, longer battery life, new colors, and improved AI features. The rollout marks a milestone for wearable tech in India.
As of now, there’s no official word from Meta or Ray‑Ban whether they will offer prescription lenses, polarized lenses, or “Transitions” lens options for the Indian market.
The Gen 2 glasses feature a 12‑megapixel camera that can record video up to 3K at 30 fps. Photo resolution stays at 3,024 × 4,032 pixels (same as Gen 1). Meta also promised future updates like slow motion and hyperlapse modes.
