Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said the NDA government considers the 2024 election mandate not as a political victory but as a responsibility entrusted by the people to rebuild Andhra Pradesh. Addressing the “Two Years of Trust, Development and Welfare” public meeting at Daminedu in Chandragiri constituency, he said the coalition government has spent the last two years restoring governance, accelerating development and delivering welfare.

The Chief Minister said the government inherited a state in crisis, burdened by debt, weakened institutions and stalled development projects. He alleged that the previous administration’s “destructive rule” began with the demolition of Praja Vedika and eventually pushed the state into severe financial distress. However, he asserted that the NDA government has restored law and order, stabilized governance and rebuilt public confidence.

Highlighting welfare initiatives, Naidu said pensions worth over ₹65,000 crore have been distributed under NTR Bharosa, while the Talliki Vandanam scheme is supporting students’ education. He noted that women have benefited from 710 million free bus journeys under the Shakti scheme and that farmers are receiving ₹20,000 annually through Annadata Sukhibhava in partnership with the Union Government.

The Chief Minister said the government has filled nearly 16,000 teacher posts through Mega DSC and recruited over 5,700 police constables. He also claimed that employee dues amounting to ₹21,000 crore were cleared within 23 months.

On investments and industrial growth, Naidu said Andhra Pradesh has regained credibility among investors. He announced that 175 MSME parks are being established across the state and that major companies are showing renewed interest in investing. He cited upcoming projects, including a Royal Enfield manufacturing unit in Tirupati district and gold mining operations in Kurnool district.

Accusing the opposition of spreading misinformation and obstructing development, Naidu said the NDA government remains focused on achieving the vision of “Swarna Andhra 2047.” He emphasized that elected representatives must remember they are public servants and remain accountable to the people.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Minister Nara Lokesh, Union Ministers Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu and Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, along with several public representatives, attended the event.
