Another Angle: Skoda’s Strategic Push in the Indian SUV Market

There is more to this launch than merely commemorating 25 years. Additionally, it highlights Skoda's increasing attention to India's cutthroat SUV market. Since its debut. The Kushaq has been among the company's most popular models in the nation.

Skoda wants to increase the attraction of its brand to urban consumers by providing a limited edition with unique features and a high-end appearance. The tactic reflects a developing trend in the Indian auto industry, where companies are employing limited-edition models to increase exclusivity, increase showroom traffic, and generate buzz on social media.

The Limited Edition is guaranteed to appeal to a broader range of consumers, from efficiency-conscious buyers to performance aficionados, thanks to the availability of both 1.0L and 1.5L turbocharged petrol engines.

Skoda's goal to update its lineup without significant redesigns is further demonstrated by the anniversary edition of the Salvia and Kylaq, which make use of current platforms to produce limited editions that are more desirable.

With only 500 units on offer, Skoda is banking on scarcity to enhance the model’s prestige. This could also potentially push resale value in the future, a factor many premium car buyers consider.
