The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has declared the dates for the conduct of the exam for filling 5,346 posts of Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) in government schools of Delhi, to overcome the shortage of teachers in government schools in the current education system in Delhi. Examination Format and Subjects

The DSSSB TGT recruitment examination would be of a computer-based type and would be held in shifts on different dates for different subjects. The drive is for recruiting teachers for regular teaching posts of Hindi, English, Sanskrit, and Mathematics, and Special Education Teachers. The total 5,346 government teacher vacancies would be filled under both DoE and NDMC.

Key Exam Dates

According to the DSSSB notification, the online exams are scheduled for March 2026. Important dates include:

  • March 2 – TGT (Sanskrit) Male

  • March 7 – TGT (English) Male

  • March 8 – TGT (English) Female

  • March 14 – TGT (Sanskrit) Female

  • March 15 – TGT (Hindi) Male

  • March 22 – TGT (Hindi) Female

These exams will also cover posts for drawing teachers, special education teachers, and other TGT positions across various subjects.

Exam Pattern

The Delhi TGT exam follows a ‘One-Tier’ Technical/Teaching exam pattern:

  • 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs)

  • Total marks: 200

  • Duration: 2 hours

  • Negative marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer

The syllabus will cover subjects such as General Awareness, Reasoning, Arithmetic, Hindi, English, as well as other similar subjects.

Admit Card and Preparation Tips

The e-admit card for the TGT exam will be released about one week before the exam on the official DSSSB website. Candidates should:

  • Validate all information given in the admit card

  • Check working times and exam location addresses

  • Arrive on time and follow reporting instructions

It is recommended that candidates put emphasis on the process of revision and mock tests. Previous year question papers can be used to practice to be able to time the exam paper effectively.
