Two years later, significant new information has emerged regarding the homicide of Punjabi artist Shubhdeep Singh, also known as Sidhu Moosewala. Before carrying out the attack on the singer, the assailants surveyed the deserted location with AK-47s. They also attempted to use a grenade launcher, although unsuccessfully. Additionally, the criminals had initially planned to disguise themselves as law enforcement officers to execute Moosewala, but altered their plan on the scene due to a shortage of two women.

Keshav, the shooter in the murder case, resident of Awa Basti, Bathinda, told during police interrogation that before the murder of Moosewala, Priyavart Fauji, Deepak Mundi and all the other accused had gone to a deserted place in the fields of Sakta Kheda village of Dabwali to check with pistols including AK-47. . Priyavart Fauji and Deepak Mundi had tried to check by using a grenade launcher, but the accused did not fire the grenade, due to which the soldier packed it away.

Singer Moosewala had a heavy security force, due to which gangster Goldie Brar had given a large number of pistols and AK-47 to the gangsters. The miscreants had planned that gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria’s shooter Manpreet Singh, Jagroop Rupa and three other youths would go to Moosewala’s house posing as fake policemen.

The miscreants had even bought police uniforms. The accused canceled this plan on the spot due to non-availability of complete police uniform and two women. Goldie Brar had prepared two fake girls, who were to enter Moosewala’s house posing as fake journalists along with police personnel.

After this, when Moosewala’s police security was removed, gangster Goldie Brar called accused Keshav and said that now there is no police security with Moosewala, you go to Fatehabad and bring all your associates to Mansa. After this Keshav went to Fatehabad on bike and came to Mansa with all his friends. The accused put his bike in front, while other associates followed him with vehicles. Moosewala by posing as fake policemen and involving the girls as journalists in the scheme, all the accused stayed in a room at night in a deserted place in the fields of Sakta Kheda village of Dabwali. There all the accused fired and checked their respective pistols and AK-47. After firing and checking the weapons, the next day at 5 am the accused left the fields and headed towards Mansa.

As told by Keshav to the police, when all the accused left the fields and went towards Mansa, there were also 3 Punjabi boys and shooters Manpreet Singh Manna and Jagroop Rupa in the Scorpio. Whereas, Priyavart Fauji, Keshav, Deepak Mundi, Kashish alias Kuldeep and Ankit were traveling in the second Bolero vehicle. Both the vehicles got separated from Dabwali itself. Because, the boys riding in the Scorpio car had gone away asking to get the items to complete the police uniform.

Of the total 31 accused, the police had arrested 29, but two of them, Mandeep Singh and Manmohan Singh, were killed in the clash in Goindwal jail in Tarn Taran district. Jagroop Singh Rupa and Manpreet Singh Mannu Khosa were encountered by the police in Bhakna village of Amritsar district.

Goldie Brar, Lipin Nehra, Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence’s brother and his nephew Sachin Bishnoi Thapan are sitting abroad. Whereas, two accused (Jagdeep Rupa and Manpreet) were killed in a police encounter in Attari, Amritsar. Currently 25 accused are in jail.
