Continuous rainfall since Friday has triggered widespread flooding and landslides in Nepal, leaving devastation in its wake. The death toll reached nearly 200 by Monday, with at least 30 people still missing, according to Nepal Police.

Kathmandu has been among the hardest-hit areas, with over 34 fatalities reported. Roads leading to the capital city have been cut off, and numerous houses have been severely damaged or destroyed. A landslide about 16 kilometers from Kathmandu killed three dozen people, burying buses and vehicles where people had been sleeping due to a blocked highway.

Search and rescue operations have intensified as hundreds of families have been displaced, homes buried, and highways blocked across the country. The disaster has also injured 94 people, with authorities working around the clock to manage the rising toll and aid those affected by the floods and landslides.
