Neil Nitin Mukesh revealed that he once demanded Shah Rukh Khan to ‘shut up’ in a renowned award event. Following that, Neil said that Shah Rukh had been extremely supportive. He recently talked out about a claimed conflict he had with Shah Rukh Khan at an award show a few years ago.
The video from the occasion is being shared on social media, and Neil can be heard asking the superstar to “shut up” after the actor questioned about his surname, despite the fact that Neil, Nitin, and Mukesh are all first names. Neil joked about the event with Siddharth Kannan, saying that it was “never meant to be an insult” and that he had a lot of respect for Shah Rukh Khan.
Speaking about that bit on the stage, Neil said, “He was having fun, I was having fun with him. He knows this and I know this too.”
When asked if the scene had been faked, the New York actor said, “If you say so, I’ll believe it.” Let it be known as scripted if you want, but there was love.” Neil mentioned that Shah Rukh was not angry with him when he ordered him to stop talking. “He only said I’d have some fun with this.” But he also warned that I will have fun with you and that you should do your thing. ‘Sir, what level of enjoyment are we talking about?’ I inquired. ‘Do whatever you can think of,’ he urged. “He gave me that freedom, so I took it,” he explained. Neil said that after the incident, Shah Rukh Khan told him, “You did well.” Neil added that he would “never disrespect my elders.”
