The Congress party raised serious concerns about the National Testing Agency (NTA). They claim there are issues with how the NEET exam is managed. Congress General Secretary, Jairam Ramesh, shared his thoughts online on X

Ramesh said, “There are serious questions about the NTA and NEET.” He also criticized the NCERT, saying it has lost professionalism. He wants the issue to be a top priority.

Ramesh hopes the new Parliament Standing Committees will review NEET, NTA, and NCERT in detail. He believes a proper analysis is needed, especially regarding the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

He remembered his time on the Parliament’s Health and Family Welfare Committee. He mentioned that some MPs from Tamil Nadu were worried NEET would favor CBSE students and harm others. He thinks this CBSE issue needs careful examination. He asked if NEET is unfair and if it denies opportunities to poorer students. Maharashtra also has doubts about NEET.

This year, the NEET exam for undergraduates was on May 5. Results came out on June 4. There was controversy because 67 candidates secured the top rank. Some students got full marks, and others received grace marks. The result date also matched the national election counting day, which raised more questions.
