Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nayab Singh Saini officially took charge as the Chief Minister of Haryana on Friday at the Haryana Civil Secretariat in Chandigarh.

In his remarks, Saini expressed his commitment to serving the 2.80 crore residents of Haryana, stating, “I am emotional and humbled. Our guiding principles of Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, and Sabka Vishwas are paramount. We will leave no stone unturned in making Haryana the best, prosperous, and self-reliant state. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our majority government will be dedicated to service, good governance, equality, and the welfare of the poor.”

Saini received a guard of honour during the ceremony and went on to highlight key initiatives from the BJP’s manifesto, including free treatment for kidney patients, with the government covering dialysis expenses. He thanked the people of Haryana for their overwhelming support in the recent elections and praised Prime Minister Modi’s policies.

In his first cabinet briefing, Saini criticized the opposition, claiming that Congress had attempted to mislead farmers and youth while using athletes for political gain. He emphasized that the electorate had decisively rejected these narratives, reaffirming their trust in Modi’s initiatives for farmers over the past decade.

Nayab Singh Saini was sworn in as Haryana’s Chief Minister for the second time on Thursday, with Governor Bandaru Dattatreya administering the oath of office at a ceremony held at Dussehra Ground in Panchkula. The event was attended by several prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

The new cabinet includes former Deputy Chief Minister Anil Vij and several other BJP MLAs, marking the party’s third consecutive term in Haryana after winning 48 out of 90 assembly seats, compared to Congress’s 37.
