Hyderabad:

Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao on Monday alleged that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was resorting to false allegations against the BJP due to frustration over the party’s growing popularity and expanding support base in rural Telangana.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP state headquarters in Hyderabad, Ramchander Rao said a Chief Minister holding a constitutional office must present facts before the people and refrain from indulging in politics based on misinformation, personal attacks and propaganda.

He alleged that Revanth Reddy had been making misleading statements on a range of issues, including paddy procurement, financial assistance from the Centre, the alleged appointment request with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and criticism of Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar.

The BJP leader urged the Chief Minister to stop making what he described as baseless allegations against BJP leaders and instead focus on fulfilling promises made to the people. He called on the state government to prioritise the implementation of Rythu Bharosa, fee reimbursement, youth welfare commitments and other election guarantees.

Defending Kishan Reddy, Ramchander Rao said all accusations against the Union Minister were unfounded and asserted that the people of Telangana were aware of the facts. He maintained that the BJP would continue to fight for the interests of the state’s people.

Quoting the slogan, “Jitna keechad uchaloge, utna kamal khilega” (The more mud you fling, the more the lotus will bloom), he said repeated attacks on the BJP would only strengthen the party’s position among the masses.

On paddy procurement, Ramchander Rao claimed that Telangana accounted for more than half of the grain procured by the Centre, citing figures from the Food Corporation of India. He further stated that Telangana farmers received over ₹13,171 crore under the Minimum Support Price (MSP) mechanism.

Regarding the alleged appointment with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Rao claimed that no official request had been sent by the Telangana Chief Minister’s Office and accused Revanth Reddy of shifting responsibility onto others instead of performing his duties as Chief Minister.
