Post-vaccination there were several viral videos of how things are getting stuck to the arm where vaccine dose is injected. This time around a video of a 71-year-old man from Nashik Arvind Sonar has gone viral and is talk of the town where the man has claimed to have developed magnetism on his arms and neck after getting the Covishield vaccine. In one video one man is keeping coins and several steel objects like spoons on the arm of Sonar that started getting stuck on his arm days after taking the vaccine. After which Netizens were shocked and started calling him ‘Magneto’ and ‘Ironman’. Sonar runs a snack store and took the second dose of the vaccine less than a week ago in a private hospital. His family reportedly clarified that they were not making any ‘claims’ and were not aware that the magnetic quality was present before. All in the family were shocked the first time they saw objects getting stuck to his body and felt it will be due to sweat but later even after the bath the scenario was the same after which they shot this video.
Nashik Municipal Corporation has sent an expert team to his residence to find out the reason behind the attraction to metal objects. They have sent a report to the government and after a thorough investigation will conclude anything. They are saying it does not seem to have a connection to the vaccination.
Amidst several fears and phobia related to the vaccine, such an incident has shocked everyone. Meanwhile, Press Information Bureau’s (PIB) fact-checking Twitter handle on 10 June clarified that “vaccines were completely safe and that they do not make people magnetic.”
