Narendra Modi took the oath as Prime Minister of India for the third time on Sunday. Alongside him, 72 ministers were also sworn in, including 30 cabinet Ministers, 5 ministers of State with Independent Charge and 36 ministers of state. The 73-year-old Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stalwart and members of his council of ministers were administered the oath of office and secrecy by President Droupadi Murmu during a ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Here is a list of ministers who took oath

  • Rajnath Singh, who held the Union Defence Minister’s post in the previous government, was sworn in.
  • Amit Shah, who served as the Union Home Minister in the Modi 2.0 government, was inducted into the new government.
  • Nitin Gadkari, who held the post of Union Minister of Road Transport, is part of the newly-formed NDA government.
  • JP Nadda, the BJP national chief, is a new entrant to the Narendra Modi-led Cabinet.
  • Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, has been given a Cabinet berth.
  • Nirmala Sitharaman, who previously held the Finance portfolio, is part of the new government.
  • Dr. S. Jaishankar, the former External Affairs Minister, is part of Modi 3.0.
  • Manohar Lal Khattar, who resigned as Haryana Chief Minister in March, has been given a Cabinet post.
  • HD Kumaraswamy, chief of JD(S), was sworn in as a Union Minister in the PM Modi-led NDA government.
  • Piyush Goyal, who secured his first Lok Sabha term after defeating a Congress candidate, was sworn in as a Union Minister.
  • Dharmendra Pradhan, who was a Union Minister in the previous government, was sworn in as a Union Minister again.
  • Jitan Ram Manjhi, founder of Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), took the oath as a Union Cabinet Minister.
  • Rajiv Ranjan (Lalan) Singh, a leader from Nitish Kumar’s JD(U), took the oath as a Union Cabinet Minister.
  • Sarbananda Sonowal, a BJP leader from Assam, was sworn in as a Union Minister.
  • Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, a Telugu Desam Party leader, was included in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government.
  • Dr. Virendra Kumar took the oath as a Cabinet Minister in the third term of the PM Modi-led government.
  • Jual Oram was sworn in as a Union Minister in Modi 3.0.
  • Pralhad Joshi was sworn in as a Union Minister on Sunday.
  • Ashwini Vaishnaw, who previously held the Railways portfolio, took the oath as a Union Cabinet Minister.
  • Giriraj Singh was sworn in as a Union Minister in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government.
  • Jyotiraditya Scindia, who won his fifth term in Lok Sabha, was sworn in as a Union Minister.

  • Krishan Pal Gurjar, who won from Faridabad, is part of Modi 3.0.
  • Ramdas Athawale, Republican Party of India chief, was sworn in as a Union Minister.
  • Nityanand Rai, who won from the Ujiyarpur Lok Sabha seat, took the oath as a Union Minister.
  • Anupriya Patel, whose party Apna Dal allied with the NDA, was sworn in as a Union Minister.
  • V. Somanna, who won from the Tumkur seat, is part of Modi 3.0.
  • Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, a leader from Chandrababu Naidu’s party, took the oath as a Union Minister.
  • S. P. Singh Baghel, who won his fifth term as MP from Agra, is part of Modi 3.0.
  • Shobha Karandlaje, who won from the Bangalore North seat, was sworn in as a Union Minister.
  • Kirti Vardhan Singh, a three-time BJP MP, took the oath as a Union Minister.
  • B. L. Verma, Uttar Pradesh BJP’s vice president, is part of Modi 3.0.
  • Shantanu Thakur, BJP MP from Bangaon, was sworn in as a Union Minister on Sunday.
  • Kamlesh Paswan, a three-time MP from Bengal, was sworn in as a Union Minister.
  • Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who was elected from the Karimnagar seat by a margin of 2.25 lakh votes, took the oath today.
  • Ajay Tamta, a BJP leader from Uttarakhand, was sworn in as a Union Minister.
  • Dr. L. Murugan, who was re-elected to Rajya Sabha in April, was sworn in as a Union Minister.
  • Suresh Gopi, an actor-turned-politician, is also part of the PM Modi-led government.
