The fifth edition of ICONIC 2023, a coveted award in the field of luxury, travel, and tourism, was recently held at ITC Maurya and graced by eminent foreign ministers and delegates. Many well-known celebrities attended this ceremony, including renowned Bollywood music composer Anu Malik and former Sri Lankan cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya.
Jyoti Mayal, president of the Travel Agents Association of India and vice chairperson of Faith, felicitated music composer Anu Malik during the award ceremony. The popular composer was also part of a panel discussion with several other names. These included seasoned journalists and an acclaimed author, Vir Sanghvi, to name a few. During the panel discussion, the ace composer answered all the questions with great composure. Having more than 45 years of experience in the music industry, he composed a song at the venue itself on the request of the anchor.
In a candid conversation, the legendary music composer gave insights about his journey in the music industry.

Q. How do you feel about attending the fifth edition of the ICONIC Award in 2023?
A. It is a great feeling to attend this award ceremony. I am also going to receive an award here for being the most memorable composer in the last 45 years. This is a great recognition for people who have achieved in the fields of travel and luxury.
Q. Please give a brief description of your journey over the last 45 years?
A. My journey over the last 45 years has been very interesting. It’s been a lot of hard work and not easy at all, but I love my work.
Q. Recently, your friend and well-known actor, Satish Kaushik, passed away. How was your experience working with him?
A. He was very close to me. He was a fabulous friend. He was a great character and we have worked together in films such as Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hai, and Badhaai Ho Badhaai.
