On Wednesday morning, various areas of Mumbai experienced the initial pre-monsoon rainfall of the season, offering relief to residents from the intense heat and humidity. Mumbaikars woke up to cloudy skies, and light rains began in certain parts of the city around 7 am.

According to a municipal official, areas such as Dadar, Kandivali, Magathane, Oshiwara, Wadala, and Ghatkopar experienced rainfall ranging from 4 mm to 26 mm between 7 am and 8 am.

Additionally, light rain was observed in certain sections of central and south Mumbai.

The official mentioned that road traffic and train services in the city were operating normally.

Typically, the monsoon arrives in Mumbai during the second week of June.

In the previous month, Mumbai experienced untimely rain accompanied by strong winds, resulting in a tragic incident in the Ghatkopar area where a billboard collapsed, leading to multiple casualties.
